What is a Sworn Official Translation?

A Sworn Translation is an official certified translation. Sworn Official Translations have full legal validity. Sworn Official Translators are the only translators who can provide Sworn Translations. Their signature is authorised by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation. The Translations bearing their signature have full legal validity in Spain and in any other country. The Sworn Translation holds the same validity held by the original in the country in which it was first issued.

Sworn Translators appointed by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation act as Notaries with the authority to carry out sworn translations which will be recognised and accepted by any country. Sworn Translators have a good command of the languages into which they translate, as well as knowledge of the legal systems of the two languages with which they work.
