Nockolds Recovers £75,000 in Debt Recovery Claim Against TV Chef

Nockolds Solicitors has successfully recovered £75,000 in a debt recovery claim for a local interior designer.

The firm was instructed by design company Jo Frances Ltd in respect of unpaid invoices relating to design work for the renovation of the Flitch of Bacon in Dunmow, the gastro pub opened by Daniel Clifford of BBC Great British Menu fame.

Daniel Clifford’s company defended the claim and counter-claimed over £200,000.

Daniel Winter, Partner and Head of Nockolds’ Commercial and Property Litigation Team is delighted with the result, commenting: ‘I’m very pleased that justice has prevailed and our client has succeeded. When customers do not pay, it can have disastrous effects on businesses of any size, so I am pleased that we were able to help Jo Frances Ltd in their time of need.’

‘At Nockolds, we are proud of our Debt Recovery service which, as can be seen from this result, is extremely effective, leaving no stone unturned in striving for a successful outcome for our clients.’
