Rachel joined Nockolds in 2006 and is a Principal Associate in our Employment Team. Rachel qualified as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEX) in 2017.

Rachel specialises in all areas of employment law, advising businesses and individuals on all types of work-related issues.

Rachel provides advice on a wide range of employment matters including redundancies, unfair dismissal, wrongful dismissal, constructive dismissal, restrictive covenants, breach of contract, disciplinary and grievance procedures, equal pay, maternity/paternity rights and discrimination law.

Rachel is regularly instructed to provide advice and negotiate settlement agreements on behalf of employees, as well as drafting agreements for employers.

She is also able to prepare and advise on all employment related paperwork, such as contracts of employment, policies and procedures and handbooks.

Rachel can assist at all stages of Employment Tribunal claims from drafting the initial claim or defence, drafting witness statements and negotiating settlement.

Rachel is a qualified Mental Health First Aider and has a particular interest in advising on mental health in the workplace.

Rachel is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.

Rachel is an active member in Nockolds’ Charity Committee, and in 2016 was part of a group of staff members who walked from Nockolds’ Bishop’s Stortford office to Nockolds’ London office (34-miles) to raise money for Herts Young Homless, Thirst Café and Macmillan Cancer Support. She has previously completed the Three Peaks, London Bridge Walk and a free-fall abseil down the ArcellorMittal Orbit. In 2019 she took part in Nockolds’ Coastal Walk (45-miles) in aid of Steph’s Wishes.
