IR35 Changes Postponed

In light of all of the recent developments with COVID19 the government has announced that the proposed changes to IR35 have been postponed by 12 months to April 2021.

These changes relate to self-employed contractors engaged through personal service companies and a move by HMRC to ensure that these individuals are taxed at source. Although these changes have been delayed it remains important to review the working arrangements with those operating through PSCs to ensure compliance with both employment law and HMRC rules.

For more information on the IR35 rules, please take a look at Joanna Sutton’s blog.
