Lucy is the Partner of our Commercial and Property Litigation Team. She has a broad range of experience acting for businesses from small start up companies to larger PLC’s, for a variety of landlords in both the residential and commercial property sector and for private clients in all forms of commercial and property litigation work.
Lucy is committed to building relationships with her clients and achieving the best outcome for them. Lucy is excellent at bringing complex matters with various moving parts together to enable her to reach effective settlements even in more contentious matters. Where this can’t be achieved through settlement, Lucy is able to fully prepare and assist clients in contested court hearings.
Lucy frequently presents public seminars and delivers in house training.
Lucy has been listed in the Legal 500 (2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 & 2026) as a recommended lawyer in commercial litigation.
Lucy is a member of the Property Litigation Association, Professional Negligence Lawyers’ Association and the Food Law Group.
Recent experience includes:
- Working with our client and the local authority to ensure our client’s premises were re-opened in less than a week of a hygiene emergency prohibition notice being served.
- Having an improvement notice served against our client in respect of building safety works withdrawn.
- Putting together a complex overarching settlement agreement, settling claims of unfair prejudice and misfeasance against a company Director and Shareholder. The settlement agreement incorporated documents drafted by other members of the commercial teams.
- Successfully defended an injunction and settled a significant claim in the High Court, which Lucy was instructed on, on the day of the hearing.
- Successfully brought injunctive proceedings and secured a freezing order, securing the return of substantial funds to our client.
- Secured a favourable judgment for a block of flats defending an application to amend restrictive covenants.
- Secures possession of properties on a regular basis on behalf of Landlords.
