Karen joined Nockolds in 2015. Before joining the firm she graduated with a first class degree in law and went on to train and qualify as a solicitor in 2010. She was promoted to Partner in June 2025.

Described in the Legal 500 (2024) as “extremely well prepared, very experienced and personable”, Karen undertakes all aspects of private family law and has particular experience in divorce and finances on divorce, children matters, pre and post nuptial agreements, cohabitation (and breakdown of cohabitation), and domestic abuse. Karen has also handled many family matters for individuals with an acquired brain injury, and/or who lack capacity to manage their own affairs, having previously worked alongside a Court of Protection deputy in the management of individual’s financial affairs. 

Karen is known for cutting through the complexity of situations, to deliver practical and sensible advice for her clients. Karen adapts her approach and advice to each individual client’s circumstances, priorities and wishes, in order to achieve the best bespoke outcome as quickly and cost effectively as possible.  Karen’s approach and solid legal knowledge ensures that clients always obtain a good result.

Karen is adept at negotiating matters without the need for court proceedings but can successfully navigate through the court process when it is required. Clients often compliment Karen on her personable nature, whilst delivering strong outcomes for them.  

Karen is a member of Resolution, a nationwide network of family lawyers and other professionals who are committed to the constructive resolution of family disputes. She is a Resolution-accredited specialist in complex financial remedies/medium-high net worth financial settlements and private children law.
