The Employment Rights Bill has now finished its committee stage in the House of Lords.
The committee stage involves each clause in the Bill being subject to scrutiny with the Lords suggesting proposed amends. Hundreds of amendments were proposed, but most were rejected by the Government.
The Bill is expected to come into force with a staged implementation from the latter part of the year and through 2026. You can keep on top of the latest updates using our Employment Rights Bill Timeline.
