Costs For Family Matters

We understand that costs are a significant concern and worry for our clients.

We have therefore produced a guide as to what to plan for and consider before we move forward together.

How Much Will It Cost?

We always will speak to you and our initial consultation is free of charge.

If you are keen to go ahead and you would like a more informed and formal meeting we will charge a fixed fee of £150 +VAT

After it has been agreed how we will move forward then we will give you a cost estimate, advice on funding along with a plan as to how your case will progress so you are in control.

Who Will Assist You With Your Family Matter?

We have a range of levels of expertise in the team, from partner to trainee solicitor. The hourly rate depends on the level of expertise. We will decide what you need and tailor our advisor to your requirements.

We make sure that your matter is handled by a lawyer with the right level of knowledge so that you are in the best possible hands, but also so that you do not unnecessarily incur costs.

All members of our Family Team are members of Resolution, a nationwide network of family lawyers and other professionals who are committed to the constructive resolution of family disputes and put the best interests of any children first.

This means that we will encourage our clients to avoid incurring unnecessary costs in pursuing matters in an unconstructive manner. This will also reduce the stress and damage that a separation can have on our clients and any children.

Alongside their legal qualifications, several members of the team are also Resolution-accredited specialists in complex financial remedies and private children matters.

We work closely with other lawyers within the firm to address other issues that may arise on your matter, such as the sale or purchase of a property, tax issues, trusts, and financial planning.
