Yasmin Ameer

It is with the greatest sadness that we inform you that our friend and colleague, Yasmin Ameer, passed away on Monday 26th May 2025. After a short illness, and despite her brave and courageous battle, she sadly passed peacefully at home with her family beside her.

Yasmin was unquestionably one of the most outstanding Clinical Negligence/PI lawyers in the country specialising in catastrophic injury claims and Court of Protection work. She was consistently ranked in the Top Tier and as a Leading Individual in Legal 500 and in Chambers Tier 1. No other Nockolds lawyer has ever achieved such prominence. As the Legal 500 commented ‘No one in the country is more expert in catastrophic injuries than Yasmin Ameer.’

Yasmin has touched the lives of countless families whose lives have been devastated through injury or clinical negligence. What distinguished Yasmin was her unwavering dedication to her clients, she invested her time in getting to know her clients and earned their trust as a confidant. One of Yasmin’s clients commented ‘… we immediately felt confident that we were in good hands. Yasmin has held our hands in some very dark times – giving clear, sound, dependable advice not only on the legal aspects but also with regards to my son’s rehabilitation.’

To all those who knew her, Yasmin was a warm, kind, quick-witted and a very caring human being, full of integrity who always put others before herself and who brightened the lives of all those who met her either professionally or otherwise.

This is a very sad time for Nockolds, we have lost a very talented colleague and a dear friend. Our thoughts are with Yasmin’s family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time. Yasmin will be remembered fondly by everyone that knew her and will be missed by us all.

A memorial page has been created online in Yasmin’s honour. If you would like to leave a message or make a donation in accordance with Yasmin’s wishes, you can do so here.
