On Sunday 7th May, a team of Nockolds staff members put on their walking boots once again for a London Bridge Walk to raise money for its chosen Charity of the Year, Kisses4Kids.
Starting at Putney Bridge and continuing along the River Thames until Tower Bridge, the 15 mile walk through London took the team seven hours to complete, crossing 16 bridges in total.
The team raised over £1,400 for Kisses4Kids, a Hertfordshire based charity that helps create more relaxed areas for children and young people in hospitals, as well as sending them and their families for trips away to give the whole family an experience to remember.
The Nockolds team has never been afraid of a challenge and staff members have previously undertaken an epic walking challenge of 34 miles from the Bishop's Stortford office to the London office, The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge and the British Heart Foundation’s London to Paris Cycle Ride.
Vicky Tassell, a member of the Nockolds’ Charity Committee, commented: “The walk was a great success with the weather being kind to us and all 28 participants crossing all 16 bridges. The Charity Committee is so grateful to and proud of all of Team Nockolds; those who were able to participate in the walk and join us on the day and also to those who support us through donations for our very worthy charity of the year, Kisses4Kids.”
