Nockolds' Summary of 2016
It seems astonishing that we are on the verge of bidding farewell to 2016. It has been a busy year for Nockolds, with repeat work from our valued clients and new clients have joined us too. It has certainly been an eventful year as we have been fortunate to welcome a new generation of extremely talented and impressive individuals who have all brought something entirely new to the Firm; each has embraced our culture and is now helping us to build an even stronger firm.
A huge highlight for 2016 for us was being ranked in the Sunday Times Best 100 Small Companies to Work For, along with receiving the 3 Star Rating (the highest possible ranking) from Best Companies for the third time. We are also delighted to have been featured in various national press and publications during 2016, including the BBC website, The Times, The Telegraph, Personnel Today, Fresh Business Thinking, TechWeek Europe, and various other media outlets commenting on legal developments and changes in the law.
This year we also celebrated our three year anniversary of our London office and the first anniversaries of Nockolds Wealth and EmployAssist HR. We began working with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) and launched the Veterinary Client Mediation Service (VCMS) which is a voluntary, independent and free mediation service for clients whose animals have received veterinary care and for the veterinary professionals providing that care.
Alongside working with our clients we have helped a number of local charities including Thirst Café, Macmillan Cancer, Herts Young Homeless and Kisses4Kids. This year saw the team undertake an epic walking quest to walk between our Bishop’s Stortford and London offices, the Great Nockolds Bake Off, quiz nights, raffles and most recently, Christmas Jumper Day - all of which raised money for these deserving charities.
2017 will no doubt bring new challenges but we are looking forward to next year and we would like to wish our clients a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
