Nockolds Supports Local School’s Cycle Safety Workshop

May 19, 2016
Nockolds was delighted to be involved with this week’s cycle safety campaign at Manorfields School in Bishop’s Stortford. Nockolds has been supporting the annual cycle safety campaign at the school for a number of years.

This year’s workshop was given to over 60 Year 5 pupils on Tuesday afternoon. The workshop was broken down into three sections and provided the pupils with a complete guide on how to plan ahead and be safe. The first section involved planning ahead before a bike ride and included the importance of wearing hi-viz clothing and how to make sure the children were safe to ride. The workshop also alerted the children to the risks of riding a bike and how to spot the dangers. The workshop concluded with a brief over on the new booster seat law changes that are coming in later this year.

Jennie Jones, a member of the Nockolds team who presented at the workshop commented “We really enjoy working with the local schools and providing the children with tips and guidance on how to stay safe on their bikes. We find the workshops very rewarding and we enjoy giving back to our local community”.
