Absence Management Including Dealing with Stress, Long Term Sickness Absence and Disability 


Course Details 

This session will explore the issue of absence from work and provide essential knowledge to manage absence effectively and within the law. We will also advise on the benefits of conducting return to work meetings to identify whether there are other reasons for the absence with the aim of improving attendance levels and therefore reducing the cost to the business of sickness and absenteeism. 

We will also consider the approach that should be taken to those on long term sickness absence, potentially giving rise to issues in respect of disability, including when it might be fair to dismiss. 

The course will be suitable for HR professionals and other managers with responsibility for dealing with employee sickness.
