Volvo – Liability Accepted For Accidents for Driverless Cars

Oct 12, 2015

The Sunday Times reports that Volvo is so confident about the technology it will use in its driverless cars that it will accept liability for any failure of the car itself.

This will be a huge shift in Road Traffic and Personal Injury law as it will take the responsibility of drivers and their accountability for their vehicle away.

The first trial is planned for 2017 in Gothenburg. Watch this (parking) space.
