Motorist with 42 Points on His Licence Allowed to Keep Driving

Jul 06, 2015
The Telegraph reports a motorist who ‘racked up 42 points’ on his licence was allowed to keep driving.

The law states that if you have more than 12 current points on your licence then you ordinarily are due to lose your licence for six months.

However, we regularly argue successfully on behalf of clients that if they will suffer what is known as ‘exceptional hardship’ then the court will keep them on the road.

This is the law that Magistrates are very familiar with and they will judge each case on its own merits.
