Boundary Dispute Mediation
Zen met with two neighbours who had a long-running dispute about a boundary and shared wall. Zen made arrangements to meet with the two neighbours in their homes. This gave Zen the opportunity to see the issues in reality rather than in the abstract, and this helped the neighbours to put the issues into perspective.
Zen met with each neighbour separately and spent time with each of them to get a clear picture of both the apparent issues and the background concerns each of them had, and the effect of the dispute on each of them.
By having a series of meetings with each neighbour over the course of one day, Zen was able to help the neighbours find a solution to the main issues as well as to find ways for the neighbours to clear the air and communicate with each other on a level with which they both felt comfortable.
