Our client needed the official translations of English commercial documents into Spanish. The client was dealing with a legal issue in Spain and the business partner was not cooperating. The accuracy in the official translation of the commercial documents such as the Company Overview and the Termination and Appointment of Director was crucial in moving matters forward. The Spanish Court accepted the official translations and the client was authorised to represent the interests of the Company in Spain.
The Spanish and English legal systems are very different. These differences are also obvious in the way companies are set up and therefore in the legal terminology. In most cases, there is no equivalent between the Spanish and English business entities which means that the translation is never straightforward.
