Zen joined Nockolds in 2015 and is a Senior Associate Solicitor and Mediator in our Family Team. Zen has specialised in family cases in Hertfordshire and Essex for over 20 years, with clients including business owners, directors of PLCs, policemen, professional sportsmen and lottery winners.
As an experienced solicitor, Zen is able to advise on divorce proceedings, financial matters connected with relationship breakdown, civil partnerships, cohabitee rights and all matters relating to children. Zen also often represents clients at court, including final hearings. Zen also uses various forms of negotiation, including round table meetings and collaborative law.
As a mediator, Zen deals with financial and children issues, as well as neighbour disputes, boundary disputes, civil disputes and workplace issues. Zen is qualified to talk to children in mediation and is a consultant for mediators in other organisations.
Zen’s aim is to provide a safe, calm, professional and confidential environment for his clients to be able to share their issues so that he can provide professional guidance, whether it is as a solicitor, mediator or collaborative lawyer.
Zen was recommended in the Legal 500 (2017 Edition) for divorce proceedings, civil partnership issues, cohabitee rights and financial matters arising from relationship breakdown.
Zen is a member of the Law Society Family Panel, an accredited member of the Law Society Family Mediation Panel, an assessor for the Law Society, and a member of Resolution, the Family Mediation Council and the Civil Mediation Council. He is a Resolution Accredited specialist in Complex Financial Remedies and Private Children Law. As a collaborative lawyer, Zen is a member of the Hertfordshire and Cambridge groups for collaborative lawyers and mediators.
