Nicholas joined Nockolds in 1968 and was appointed Senior Partner in 2001. He is Head of the Private Client and Agricultural Team. Nicholas comes from a local family who have lived in the area for several generations and his grandfather was a local farmer.
During his early career Nicholas operated as a general practitioner and undertook work in all fields of law for private and commercial clients, including advocacy in courts and tribunals. This wide range of experience has enabled him to provide valuable insight for the development of Nockolds. Nicholas now undertakes all manner of property transactions for individuals and companies, assists with Inheritance Tax planning and preparation of Wills, looks after all liquor and gaming licence work and acts generally for estate owners, and farmers who operate as individuals or within partnerships or farming companies.
Since 1980 Nicholas has acted as a Notary Public, allowing him to notarise and legalise documents for individuals and many local and international companies for worldwide use.
Nicholas is a former President of the Hertfordshire Law Society. For 8 years Nicholas represented the villages of Wimbish and Debden on Uttlesford District Council.
