Daniel joined Nockolds in 2009 and is a Partner in our Commercial and Property Litigation Team. Daniel has been practising as a qualified Solicitor for over 10 years. Having graduated from Cardiff University in 2000 with a degree in law before studying for his professional qualifications at the College of Law, Guildford, Daniel spent his early career practising Commercial and Property Litigation in a large and well respected south-coast commercial law firm. Daniel then moved to Hertfordshire and later joined the firm.
Daniel specialises in advising and representing clients in probate, inheritance, and trust disputes. Daniel is a Registered Contentious Trusts and Probate Specialist and a full member of ACTAPS, the recognised body within the legal profession for lawyers specialising in disputes concerning wills, inheritance, probate and trusts, and has a wealth of experience in this field of law.
Throughout his career Daniel has also represented and advised commercial clients on contractual disputes, company disputes, shareholder litigation, insolvency and bankruptcy proceedings. In addition, Daniel regularly advises on all aspects of commercial property disputes including forfeiture proceedings, possession claims, trespassers, rent and service charge disputes, and guarantee claims.
A further area of law in which Daniel is heavily involved is that of NHS Continuing Healthcare funding. Daniel has helped individuals and families recover thousands of pounds they should not have paid for nursing home fees, and save many more thousands in respect of on-going and future care costs.
Daniel was recommended in Legal 500 (2017 Edition) as having ‘a solid reputation in the area’ and ‘obtains excellent results for clients across a range of trusts, probate and Court of Protection matters’.
