Clive Wadham-Smith

Clive joined Nockolds in 2006 and is a consultant in our Business Law Team. Clive qualified as a solicitor in 1978 and has since accumulated a wealth of knowledge and experience in company and commercial law and in commercial property. In particular his practise is in the field of corporate work involving an aspect of commercial property.

His legal practice is combined with various in-house commercial advisory roles including a business in the aviation industry, a substantial development trust (a registered charity) an environmental consultancy and other commercial businesses.

These in-house roles enable him more readily to be aware of the needs of commercial clients and see matters from their perspective, so that he can offer them realistic, practical advice.

Clive’s commercial experience with the Development Trust extends his work to the charity field and he is also company secretary of an incorporated charity working in the field of transport for special needs children. He is retained to advise them on legal and commercial issues separately to his role as a director and trustee. In his legal practice with Nockolds he regularly advises on the formation of new charities and on the legalities and requirements of charities and their trustees.
