Charlotte joined Nockolds in 2015 and is Head of Construction. Charlotte graduated from the University of Hertfordshire and was admitted to the roll of solicitors in 2006 following a successful in-house training contract where she practised property, litigation and construction law. 

Charlotte has extensive non-contentious and contentious construction law experience acting for all clients including main contractors, sub-contractors, sub-subcontractors and suppliers across a range of projects including underground rail, residential, retail, hotels and education. Her work includes advising, negotiating and drafting bespoke and standard forms of construction contracts including JCT and NEC contracts, letters of intent, collateral warranties, deeds of appointments, parent company guarantees, performance bonds and provides extensive advice on the Construction Act.

Charlotte’s previous roles have enabled her to be involved in the creation of the recent changes to the Construction Act where she developed guidance, revised in-house contracts, drafted precedent letters and provided seminars on the changes. She has lectured extensively both internally and externally on a wide range of contractual matters, current law and European legislation detailing the impact these will have on various working practices internally and throughout the construction industry.
