Updating Motoring News in an Uncertain World

The courts and the judiciary are trying to outline guidelines as to how we communicate with them. In these uncertain times, the fundamental principle of the rule of law and the administration of justice is more important than ever. However, for government as well as businesses, having to adapt to changing times will take some time.

The Magistrates’ Court service is currently operating (as of 24 March 2020). Court hearings are going ahead.

Court staff have been in touch with us to state that urgent cases are being prioritised. These will be those that are remanded in custody for serious offences as every criminal case and all road traffic cases start at the Magistrates’ Court and therefore bail applications need to be made if people are being held in custody.

For traffic matters, listed cases remain for the moment. We will update you as and when we have more news.
