Sustainability in the Department for Transport

An Environmental Audit Committee report has recommended that the Department for Transport, in the wake of the decision to leave the European Union, adopt a strategy to increase use of ultra-low emission vehicles and reduce air pollution to meet decarbonisation and air quality targets. The report also comments on the fact that the Secretary of State for Transport has yet to make a decision regarding legal action against Volkswagen, a year after it was discovered that the company had fitted cheat devices to their cars.
