Nockolds can help with all of these issues and provide a full legal service to you at any stage in the life of your charity.
The team is headed up by Clive Wadham-Smith and also consists of Michael Talbot and Janette Wand.
Clive Wadham-Smith has a wealth of experience in the corporate and commercial issues involved in charity work. He is a Director / Trustee of a large charitable Development Trust, company secretary of a charity incorporated as a company working in the field of transport for special needs children and is also a director and secretary of a Community Interest Company specialising in recycling. He is retained to advise all of them on legal and commercial issues separately to his role as a Director / Trustee. In his legal practice with Nockolds LLP he regularly advises on the formation of new charities and on the legalities and requirements of charities and their trustees.
Michael Talbot is a Partner of Nockolds and advises on all governance issues that the Trustees of a charity should consider, as well as any property issues that may arise. Michael has been chair of Bishop’s Stortford YMCA and is currently chair of Thorley Community Centre. He is also a member of the National Board of the YMCA, England.
Janette Wand deals with compliance issues surrounding charities such as setting up your charity and ensuring it satisfies the requirements of the Charity Commission and Companies House. Janette is currently a trustee of a small local charity and spent two years working as a volunteer in Zimbabwe for the global charity Voluntary Service Overseas.
