New Opportunities for Mediation

The current situation has made all of us think of new ways of adapting, both family mediators and our clients. For example, we have had new requests to provide online mediation between separated couples who are still living in the same home. The widespread suspension of house selling has meant that many separated couples find themselves remaining in the same home together during lockdown, and online mediation is a very good way to try to keep positive and constructive communication, and to help parties focus on the future by exploring solutions now.

We are able to provide online mediation with couples either sharing a computer/laptop or using separate computers in separate rooms, and documents can also be shared remotely. We are able to do all of our initial client checks electronically, so there is no need for a physical meeting and geography or distance should no longer be a barrier to mediation taking place. If you do not have access to a videolink, then we can provide mediation by telephone.

We are happy to talk to you in the first instance over the phone or videolink to explore with you the possibilities of mediation in your situation and share with you our information on mediation. To find out more, please call our mediator Zen Thompson on 01279 712553 or email him on zthompson@nockolds.co.uk.
