Profile Overview

Daniel is an experienced solicitor and part of the Nockolds Dispute Resolution Team, covering all areas of dispute resolution for businesses and individuals. Daniel graduated from Cardiff University with a degree in law before studying for his professional qualifications at the College of Law, Guildford. After spending his early career practising Dispute Resolution in a large and well respected south-coast commercial law firm, Daniel moved to Hertfordshire before joining Nockolds in 2009.

Daniel's areas of expertise include the following:

  • Advising and representing commercial clients in all aspects of commercial property disputes including forfeiture proceedings, possession claims, trespassers, rent and service charge disputes, and guarantee claims.
  • Other contentious commercial work including contractual disputes, intellectual property disputes, company disputes and shareholder litigation, debt collection, insolvency and bankruptcy proceedings.
  • Emergency injunctions, including freezing orders.

An area of law that particularly interests Daniel is acting for private individuals in probate and inheritance disputes including:-

  • Challenges to the validity of Wills
  • Issues concerning lack of testamentary capacity, undue influence or fraud
  • Claims for financial provision under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975
  • Actions regarding the performance of duties by executors/administrators
  • Claims relating to ownership of property and other assets of the deceased, known as "trust claims"

Daniel was brought up on the South Coast, in Hampshire. In his spare time he enjoys following the fortunes of beleaguered Portsmouth Football Club and tries to get to see a few games each season. If Daniel is not to be found walking his dog in the Hertfordshire countryside, he will either be playing squash, making plans to travel foreign climes, or organising a trip to hit the slopes with his snowboard.
