About Nockolds

  • Supporting local schools, community groups and sporting events

Each year Nockolds gives support to a number of charities through sponsorship, raising funds and raising the charity's profile.

Our main charity this year is the St Elizabeth's Centre which provides education, care and medical support to people of all ages with epilepsy and associated disabilities. We will be raising funds for the Centre and putting some of this towards the cost of a minibus. We will be having various fund raising events throughout the year: www.stelizabeths.org.uk

We will also be helping to support Cazfest which seeks to reduce young sudden cardiac deaths: http://www.cazfest.com/

In recent years Nockolds and our staff have raised money and awareness for the following charities and organisations:

  • Herts & Essex Air Ambulance - Stargazer Ball 2010 and 2011
  • Cazfest - Stargazer Ball 2012
  • ICON Photogroup - photographs are displayed around our offices
  • Stansted & Elsenham Cricket Club - Sponsorship of the junior team
  • CLIC Sargent - Brave staff members took part in the Camberley Caper Trail Plus event
  • Isabel Hospice - Grow £50 campaign
  • St Clare Hospice - Make a Will Month of May 2011
  • The Stroke Association - Quiz night fundraiser for 2012 London Marathon runner

Enquiries about becoming our main charity in future years should bear in mind our criteria that the charity should be based in the Bishop's Stortford area and have a specific project that we can help you to raise funds for.

Nockolds is introducing a green initiative to minimise the impact of its activities on the environment.

With the support of our staff members, we recycle paper & plastic waste as well as batteries, mobile phones and printer cartridges and we aim to reduce our energy usage.

We are gradually developing this initiative and would welcome any suggestions.
